My sponsor died and I miss him.
Having someone with whom you can be absolutely and completely honest is a gift. A gift of love, patience, and perhaps grace - if we as people can actually give grace to others. For some reason it seems to me that only God can give grace. I suppose we can love and be kind to others in an undeserved fashion and that is like grace. But still, grace seems to me to be reserved for something of God. Maybe we should call it something else when we act with grace toward others.
I am not sure that it really matters.
